WORK:

I operate Rainy Side Gardeners, as well as write and photograph for

magazines, newspapers, web sites and catalogs.

GARDEN:

My latest garden of ten years is a refuge for this human as well as for

wildlife. I grow many annuals and biennials from seed, in addition to

perennials and shrubs to observe how they perform in the Northwest. I

grow many native plants, tuck in edible plants throughout the garden and

grow lettuce in moss baskets. I build my own arbors, stonewalls and

fences and experiment with a few art mediums in the garden. The garden

is a Certified Wildlife Habitat, where creatures great and small live and

                   thrive.
