Regional Garden Gurus is a friendly, informal partnership of garden writers, educators and hands-in-the-dirt professionals who've joined together to promote good gardening education across North America.  "Guru" is our shorthand term for what we're trying to do, each in our own way, but we make no claim to have all the answers. (No kidding!)

We've all seen websites that claim to be "Everything you need to know about gardening," and we beg to differ.  Gardening is regional and one site can't tell gardeners everything they need to know.  Sure, some subjects cross regions - like principles of design or how to compost - but for advice about the best plants for your area or when to do what, ya gotta get regional.

Regional gurus cover gardening for their region - with articles, videos and podcasts on their own site, links to other great sources, or a combination thereof.

All gurus are committed to providing high-quality, environmentally responsible online gardening information for their regions.  Beyond that, there's been no attempt to reach agreement on the details of gardening.  In other words, gurus speak for themselves, not for the group.
